Chris Hedges at UCSB: To Kill a People - They lie In days of old, those in control broke the bodies of the poor, drank their blood in public rituals. Until the masses demanded an end to these sick, corrupt and EVIL practices. The people had won. But EVIL secretly, slithered into the dark rooms of their mansions and carried on with their blood rituals. Under cover of darkness. And afterwards they smile at each other, blood dripping from their lips, knowing that in the morning, They will put on their clown suits, business suits to fool the masses. They will stand behind their podiums and lie to the masses. They stand behind their podiums that tell you and I how important they are and they lie, and they lie, and they lie.
