After 40 Years, U.S Allows $1.19 a Day in Food Stamps - As someone who has lived on the edge my whole life, I have received assistance two or three times to enable me to keep a roof over my head. You don't stop being human because your poor. Splurging to buy yourself one decent meal a month to help remind yourself that you are still human does not mean you eat like that every day. I wonder about the souls of people who can be so hateful, mean & judgemental.
